The Guest House is set in its own grounds with ample parking and is less than 3 miles from Windermere and the Lakeshore and approximately 4 miles from Ambleside. High Fold Guest House provides a central base to explore Troutbeck Ambleside Windermere and the Lake District. Its rural location makes it particularly popular with walkers and cyclists - or those who simply wish to get away from it all and sample peace and tranquillity in beautiful surroundings. The house is surrounded by typical Lake District scenery of lush green valleys becks (streams) hills and mountain peaks. All the guest bedrooms and the dining room have excellent views. In 2015 we were awarded a VisitEngland breakfast award. Guests may enjoy our excellent breakfast - whilst enjoying magnificent views over Applethwaite and the Troutbeck Valley.
