This unique 1891 ex convent is now a boutique heritage listed guesthouse & function center with dinner available most nights if booked at the same time as accommodation-phone for details. All bedrooms are on the 1st floor & are tastefully decorated in an era style befitting the building & its history. Each has its own special ambiance, antique furniture, heater, fan, shared access to the kitchenette for tea or coffee & access to the veranda. Some have TV & 4 poster beds. The veranda or the drawing room on the ground floor are a perfect setting for a lazy afternoon reading a book & enjoying a drink after a day of sightseeing, a sherry or port in the guest lounge before retiring to your shared, private or ensuite room with cozy bathrobes, fluffy towels & crisp linen sheets. After a restful nights sleep, wake up totally refreshed & start your day with a hearty cooked breakfast. Make a bulk booking & spend a night with close friends to celebrate a special occasion, birthday, anniversary renew your wedding vows or a commitment ceremony. We can accommodate 23 people in 11 rooms. Staying at the Abbey offers you old world charm and a unique experience you will never forget. Please dont take offence parents, but for the experience and tranquility of all our guests and lack of facilities for young children, Abbey of the Roses is not suitable for children under 18. smoking isn't allowed in the house or verandas. For the security and safety of all guests, only guests staying at the Abbey are permitted on the premises unless arrangements have been made prior to booking your accommodation.
